The Bluebell Foundation, expanding Healthcare Access for Underprivileged Communities

As part of this initiative, in August 2024, we participated in a health camp in Batticaloa, Eastern Province, Sri Lanka. During the camp, we provided dental screenings, oral hygiene education, preventive advice, and some treatments to over 200+ children in rural communities, using a mobile dental unit. This event was made possible with the support of local volunteer dentists, a mobile unit provided by the Ministry of Health, and sponsorship from MMBL Money Exchange (Western Union) in collaboration with the Batticaloa Medical Association. A special thank you to Dr Kantha from the UK for the connection and to local dentists Dr Livitan and Dr Murali for allowing Bluebell Dentistry & Aesthetics to be part of this effort. We are also grateful to Wright Cottrell for their generous donation of educational materials and toothbrushes for the dental camp.

We aim to make this a regular event under the Bluebell Foundation, expanding our reach to rural areas. Our future plans include sourcing equipment and medicine for local hospitals to improve medical care standards. Additionally, we plan to send our own team, along with members of our network, to volunteer their medical expertise regularly.
